Redwoods (Larix mastersiana) grow in Hengduan Mountains, Sichuan. They are rare second-grade plants under state protection and one of Mt. Siguniang’s species. They have a long history appeared nearly at the same time with Quaternary Glacier. They are beautiful all year round and sprout in spring, make shades in summer, turn yellow in autumn and covered with snow in winter. They are another holy trees except seabuckthorn in Shuangqiao Valley.

The ecological environment here is fine with luxuriant trees. It is the paradise of wildlife. There are many kinds of rare birds, such as  Tragopan temminckii and Crossoptilon, ect. You can also see Pseudois nayaur, the second-grade animals under state protection here.    

Location:Redwoods is in Mt. Siguniang scenery, Mt. Siguniang Town, Xiaojin County, Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture. Here is the end of the sightseeing bus and Shuangqiao Valley. It’s about 3800m above the sea-level.

Tickets: Busy season: ¥80;Off season: ¥50;Tickets for sightseeing bus: ¥70.

Ps: You have to reach the peak of Shuangqiao Valley to see the Redwoods. Here is the end of the sightseeing bus and Shuangqiao Valley. You can come to the end of the sightseeing road, that is Redwoods after taking the sightseeing bus for 30km.
